The scent of lavender after the rain Painting

The painting "The scent of lavender after the rain" is the author's painting only in a single copy. I was inspired by a huge blooming lavender bush that grows near my house. I passed by and saw beautiful drops of rain on the leaves, reflecting the sun’s rays and a wonderful aroma emanating from the lavender flowers. For the background of the painting I used different shades: warm, cold, as well as silver oil paint to emphasize the freshness of the clear air after the rain. At different angles of view, the background of the picture flickers. In my work I used oil paints and durable hardboard on a stretcher. The picture was painted with a palette knife with beautiful voluminous strokes and I only painted drops of water with a brush. The edges of the picture are painted in the color of the background and do not require additional framing. There are devices for hanging on the wall. Size 70 x 120 cm or 27.5 x 47". The painting is suitable for a large room and the green color goes well with indoor plants.
