The Storm Painting

The Storm. This is the story it tells… When one hits, as they do in life, the devil tries to convince that you cannot withstand it, but the Soul knows you can, you do, and comes in to counter what the devil says. But you can’t go up against the devil alone. With the third layer on top of the first two, you see the Soul, or just as significant, a person…partner, friend, family…come to help. Which, all, both is true for you, doesn’t matter. Just know, when you’re deep in your storm, you’re not in it alone. And once your storm is over, once you don’t need to be reassured that you will withstand it? That layer with the two together is what you see…because who wants to see the devil still staring at them once the storm is over. The collection The Storm is part of — Soul Talks — is built to be meditative. The collector can easily shift between the layers of each piece, as they themselves shift. The top two layers are on unstretched canvas, held with magnets to each other and the base, which is on stretched, gallery wrapped canvas. The Storm will look beautiful wherever one hangs it, but it feels good like this over the music. With someone sitting in front of it pondering their life. Thinking/feeling through the moment they’re in while they play music to match. Changing the piece — both the one playing and the one hanging — when their life around them and what’s within changes. Everything in life comes and goes in waves to help us shift higher, and I want this piece to live and breathe and change with you. To not just hang on your walls…to reflect and be part of your journey through this life.
