The Story of Us Painting

I am a Dutch citizen, born on 01 December 1973 and raised in South Africa I currently live and work in Geneva, Switzerland.  I am a self-taught artist, having developed and grown my experiences and passions into the field of acrylic art. I take my inspiration from my experiences and perceptions of the world around me, the colours and shapes, energy and light. I am also inspired by the movements of Expressionism and the methods of Monochrome screen printing.  I place focus mainly on the colour of my subject as a background and the subject itself done in monochrome color. By doing this, I can separate and dissect my subject into many parts and expressions."‹ "‹ I paint mostly on canvas and occasionally on acrylic paper, using acrylics and black and sepia indian ink as my mediums.
