Butcher paper is most accepted slippy paper for abstract-expressionist artist. Specially for those artist who paint with ink like me :) I have my unique technique to use ink and very dark black tea on butcher paper. This painting is done in the same way! Yes, handling color (ink) on a slippery paper must be hard for those who have not good enough experience, but after a few paintings it will come much easier! I have been using this paper more than 30 years.
