There's a chill in the shade. Painting

On a hot summer day, I'm staying in the south, in Bulgaria. Sunflowers grow there. I went to the field to pick them. I rode my bicycle, and my son was with me. The road was sandy and it was difficult to ride because my son was sitting on the trunk. And yet in the end we managed to pluck the sunflowers, although it requires a lot of effort, it is difficult to break them, you have to cut the stem. Then we got home and I immediately decided to paint them while the child was playing. I wanted to do a light, fresh sketch, to convey the brightness and beauty of these flowers. They are little suns that will keep you warm in winter. The sketch is full of warmth, but I painted it in the shade because it was hot around. Next to it are the sweet fruits - apricots, which are ripe at this time in the garden. I wanted to depict a bright, warm, fresh day and an opportunity to relax in the shade, the coolness of the terrace of a cozy house. The painting was painted quickly - it is an impulse, an inspiration from the flowers I saw and the beautiful day. Watercolor on paper
