About The Artwork
I don't produce many landscapes, and I only paint places I'm very familiar with and that I encounter as part of my everyday routine. The subject of this painting is where I go to walk the dog and is just outside of Clitheroe in Lancashire. The Thin Red Line refers to the rust coloured side of the Manchester to Clitheroe railway line that cuts across the picture in front of Longridge Fell's Kemple End in the background.
