Three moons in mythology represents the realms of heavens, earth, and the underworld. The reflections are an illusion but show how we see matter, just composed of tightly packed particles. Its all the same but in it, we see the reflection of what we have accumulated in a lifetime. When we are gone, its still there. This Limited Edition Giclée is produced at 30 x 40 inches on Archival Certified Matte Canvas at 450 g/m². This is a heavy 19 mil matte canvas protected by an acid-free, neutral pH finish coating. The canvas is wrap mounted over 1.5 inch thick, kiln dried stretcher bars, just like the original. The mounted canvas is finished with black archival backing and hanging wire. The artist controls the printing process assuring that a canvas print this size will be produced to the highest standards. Each Giclee is proofed before shipping and hand signed by the artist.

Many of Stephen Harkola’s abstract paintings are focused on pushing land and seascapes to more primeval forms. Earth, Water, Air, Fire were used to explain the nature of all matter in ancient times and provide the inspiration for the works. Stephen applies paint using brushes, rollers, pour, spray, knife, sponge, hands, blowers, layer upon layer. "Stream of consciousness, dancing around the fire, there is nothing better". Except, some of his paintings are more representational by design, left brain fighting to gain control over the right. There is tension. Both are synergistic and support his Portrait and Abstract Figure work, also on Saatchi at https://www.saatchiart.com/account/artworks/693815 Artist website https://harkolastudio.com
