"Transeúntes a contraluz" es una obra que pertenece al proyecto denominado “Cuaderno de viaje”, una serie donde se pone una especial atención en el conflicto entre la ciudad y los personajes que la habitan, extrapolándolos en ocasiones para convertirlos en los verdaderos protagonistas de las historias que se cuentan. La idea de esta serie es mostrar, de un modo muy peculiar, mi visión personal de todas aquellas ciudades que he visitado a lo largo de mis últimos años. De este modo, la muestra se convierte para el espectador en una visita inesperada por muchas ciudades nacionales e internacionales, pudiendo reconocer, en algunas ocasiones, rincones y aspectos que antes habían pasado desapercibidos.

Rosana Sitcha was born in Cartagena (south-east of Spain), on 8th January 1981. She was awarded a degree in Fine Arts by San Carlos Faculty, at the Polytechnic University of Valencia in 2005. She is specialised in drawing and painting. She has done some courses with prestigious painters such as Antonio López, Eloy Morales and Cristobal Gabarrón. She has worked as a painter since she finished her degree, focusing her work on urban landscape and female portrait, both represented from a very personal perspective. Her work has been exhibited in numerous art galleries of Spain. So far, she has taken part in 20 individual exhibitions in cities such as Madrid, Barcelona, Zaragoza, Oviedo, Murcia and Cartagena. She has also participated in more than 200 collective exhibitions, including selections, awards and national and international fairs. Since 2005, she has been awarded several national and international prizes, 25 in total. Furthermore, some of her pieces of work are in different collections that belong to city councils, county councils and museums.
