About The Artwork

It is a work that comes from the frame of a journey, from the image of a woman in a carriage, perhaps an escape, perhaps a return, however transformations of being, curiosity about the time that has passed and what to still enjoy. It concerns time, sensations, and takes on an almost sculptural value for the realization of the composition, made with multi-level cardboard, and oil colors. In this way it offers the idea of non-linearity, almost as if to perceive the jolts of the carriage and the glances, received and offered, along the journey.

I live in Salerno, Italy. My art has always been born from the search for the intimacy of the Human Person, in the variations of his psychological becoming caught in a particular expressionist nudity, mental or physical, up to the limit of abstraction, overt or hidden. I have participated in monographic and collective exhibitions in many cities, with a careful selection of events whose last main events were in 2010 the opening of the Magma Museum in Caserta, the presence at Magma Med in Palermo and then again in Genoa in 2013 at the International Fair. of Art with the Queen Art Studio of Padua, in 2014 at the Second Palermo Biennale, in 2016 and 2018 at the International Art Salerno, in 2017 in Berlin at the Malzfabrik with the Jelmoni Gallery, and in 2018 in Giffoni with the exhibition of decontemporary visual arts curated by Maurizio Barrés. He has exhibited in Rome, Berlin, Paris, Padua, Salerno, Lecce and Palermo. In the absolute authenticity, both of a truth given as archetypal and stable and of that which faces the idea of a different future and still unknown knowledge, the emotions on the canvas cross the spaces of being and of its becoming, not only temporal, in perspectives that are fragmented and recomposed, spreading from psychic intimacy to the more material echo. They open and indicate a path made up of words inevitably linked to each other, yet with the same inevitability they suggest that the unspoken is the non-absent void that claims a real and central role. The complicity of those who observe that message to be interpreted, beyond the appearance of the words given in the signs, is fully in the sensitivity and experience of each one, in the drama of the choices of the possible to be undermined.
