About The Artwork
This work relates to the environment and the atmosphere. It is like floating through the clouds travelling nowhere yet somewhere. Feeling embraced by the planet but apprehensive of the future. The deeper colour signifies pollution and the pure blue of the sky represents hope. The Troposphere is the lowest layer of the atmosphere of the earth and is where most weather phenomena occur. I choose a light touch with a roller to applying the paint to give an almost transparent effect. The palette is soft and gentle and the painting could work on its own or with Troposphere II as a diptych
