Second piece from my series "Under Construction". Theme of "Under Construction": Things in life that come and go, decisions, plans, choices and corrections. Transparent layers let us see things that were important in the past and needed to be adjusted - very well appreciating the process and the decisions that were made in the past. No judgement, no regret, just acceptance, worshipment of life and its circles. Building up, removing, destroying, letting go, allowing renewal completely. In this piece transparency and ease are predominating. Pastel color hues are contributing to the softness and filigree feel of the painting. Depths through visibility of deeper layers on a closer look. These seem to give the piece an overall stability and hold without loosing the ease. Minimalistic and airy through white fields, on a closer view we see lots of elements in these fields, sometimes a form shines through or a texture is highlighted. Created in many layers. Comes unframed, signed on the back, ready to hang. Abstract mixed media (acrylic/collage) on canvas.
