Luke Slowik creates paintings that build on his strong Buddhist traditions as well as his interest in the changing world of today. He started painting at the age of 18 and is a self-taught painter. His paintings have been featured in many website exhibitions and will be featured in the upcoming 2010/2011 Paramount Theatre Art Gallery Exhibition in the Grand Gallery. In addition, Luke's paintings are in numerous private collections. In his work, Luke often uses ideas based on strong Buddhist tradition incorporating re-birth and renewal. Luke lives in historic Fox River Grove, Illinois, with his two Blue and Gold Macaws, Kiki and Macallan.
