About The Artwork
This artwork was created after the first, black lattice of charcoal which reminds of some wooden sculptures of the German artist Sammy Deichmann. In this second attempt the artist added gray pastel to the black charcoal and the grid lines started to become filled areas like fabrics or twisted, nonrigid ribbons. In this version the grid starts to loose rigidity and monochromacity. The result still looks like the magnification of a woven textile or a hurdle work, but made of two different materials. The artwork is signed and dated in pencil.
