This contemporary and captivating work is partly inspired by Banksy and Rauschenberg. I love the way that they mixed different styles together. I love my work to have meaning and not just a beautiful painting for decoration. I hope that viewers will look at this work and interpret it in their own way. I chose to incorporate the Queen Ann background so that my work refers back to that famous "Let Them Eat Cake" line. With the use of inkjet and encaustic patterned background, this transparent painting is fresh ,luscious and draws you in but this work refers to today's economic inequality and may also speak about greed, consumption and "never enough", or even over indulgence in food, money etc....
