"Vivid Depths" is an evocative artwork from Yehor Lemzyakoff's "Self-identification" series, utilizing oil on canvas to explore themes of identity through intense color and texture. Measuring 100 W x 70 H x 3.5 D cm, this piece is shipped ready to hang and comes encased in a protective box. Dominated by a rich tapestry of reds interlaced with blues and whites, the painting suggests the depth and complexity of personal and cultural identity. Inspiration and Intent: Drawing from the emotional and symbolic significances of color, Yehor Lemzyakoff embeds his reflections on heritage and identity in the interplay of hues that suggest both conflict and harmony. The reds are evocative of passion and vitality, while the blues denote depth and calm, together reflecting the artist’s inner conflicts and resolutions regarding his identity in a globalized context. Artistic Choices: The choice of a predominantly red palette with hints of blue is intended to invoke strong emotional responses, symbolizing the vibrant and sometimes tumultuous journey of self-discovery and personal integration. The textured, almost chaotic application of paint enhances the visual impact, mirroring the complexity of the themes addressed. Physical Details: The artwork features pronounced textural variations that add depth and invite close examination. High-quality materials ensure the preservation of the work's vibrant colors and detailed textures over time.

Once I was asked: “What is the truth?”. I did not understand the question. What is art? Through our lives we, in one form or another, are trying to discover the meaning of our existence, to satisfy our curiosity and achieve satisfaction through such achievement. It is one's inevitable limitations and inhibitions which frustrate such efforts but which also frequently drive people with artistic spirits to create outside their comfort zone and in some extreme cases leads even to their destruction. I would like to see my art as an unrestricted journey of self-discovery and exploration in search of elusive answers to those and other questions which are often more difficult to understand than to answer. I remember once, my emotional, and admittedly elaborative art expose about my paintings, was abruptly interrupted by a friend, and an artist, saying: “You should not explain the art. The true art speaks for itself”. Forget prolonged explanations. Art is an expression in itself. Just as much as reality is just merely our perception. Is it not?
