The sway of the roses from side to side creates a softness to these roses. It also creates an interesting movement - like roses swaying in the wind. Another painting where I enjoyed bring the traditional folk art style into the modern 21st century! Each rose has been individually hand painted in enamel on an acrylic background.

I am a 44 year old mother of 2 children and have decided it is now my turn in life! My children are getting older so I find there is more time on my hands to explore this painting journey. So far I have discovered I love repetition, flowers and negative space. Originally from England, I emigrated with my husband and kids 8 years ago to Australia. My father always wanted me to do something with my talent, so 6 years ago when he died I used my small inheritance to build a studio. I am having so much fun exploring who I am on canvas!
