inspired door het verhaal over de Nederlandse Mata Hari die een mysterieuze en sensuele danseres was voor en tijdens de eerste wereld oorlog.Zij kwam aan haar droevig einde doordat ze werdt beschuldigd van spionage, De associaties kwamen binnen tijdens het schilderen.Het doek was niet gepland het is zelf ontstaan. Dat komt bij mij wel vaker voor.
