T.C Moore's art has been exhibited across the United States in solo and juried exhibitions. She has taught drawing, watercolour, process media and methods at Berkeley City College, UC Berkeley Extension, as well as, the University of Oregon in the School of Architecture and Allied Arts. Her travels have included studies at the Glasgow School of Art, as well as, teaching a field studies seminar in Italy's Veneto region. She earned a MFA in Studio Arts from JFK University in Berkeley and a second masters degree in Landscape Architecture and a Bachelors of Architecture from the University of Oregon, as well as, an Associates degree in Interior Design from Mt. Royal College in Canada. She is an artist member at Gallery Route One in Point Reyes Station. Her work questions the definitions and boundaries of drawing, painting, sculpture and fiber arts and she encourages you to look at her web-site www.topazemoore.com. Philosophically, she believes in the premise that truth is personal and that for her it comes in understanding the essence of things. The current work with horse hair comes from her experiences grooming, riding and playing with horses. The flow of a horses tail in the wind, the form of a horses back and neck or solidity of a horses legs become avenues to get to the heart of a horses nature. Her work emphasizes sensation, rather than the realistic depiction of horses. She challenges the viewer to take a closer look with the goal to bring the viewer into awareness to their interconnectedness to nature.
