About The Artwork

Subject to the unfailing chronic pains of scoliosis and stomach ulcers, it becomes increasingly difficult to engage the unceasing state of animosity that seeds further into bloom. This results in spending the majority of the day trapped within the confines of the human condition and forced to confront a tormenting state of helplessness. This painting expresses how nauseating it can be to live within these bounds.

The arts are key foundations for my endeavors. Painting, sculpture, and music are inspirations through which I draw great motivation to create. I am fascinated with the ideologies of abstract expressionists and their transcendence of representation by requiring viewers to recreate visual sense. I believe art is an abstract summarization of thoughts and emotions that bear direct resemblance to life. As a purist I aspire to strip form to a further abstraction that leaves nothing but a vulnerable emotive state: a raw power that will subdue the viewers perception through the conceptual reality of my work. I am interested in exposing and expressing dissonances of like materials and how they interact with one another; in other words I am interested in relationships and investigating the bounds that they may be subject to. I believe that these dissonances can symbolize relationships that we have with those around us as well as more complex introspective conflicts. The intent of investigating such a "meditative" subject is a desire to release the deep emotional perplexities that come with artistic temperament. Oh yea, I also sing and play guitar in a noisy, loud, kick-ass rock band called Washing Machines. You can check out our music using the link below...
