About The Artwork

A multi-origin and multi-gendered modern and old character wears the imperial crown of England. The tittle « Honi soit qui mal y pense » refers to the motto of the highest chivalric honour among the gifts of the Queen of England, the Order of the Garter, which in old French means Shamed "be he who thinks evil of it". In 1348 Edward III held up his mistress's dropped garter for all to see and declared it to be a mark of honour rather than shame. Diversity should reign supreme and proud.
