Her compassion an akoya pearl crystallised from the Sea of Tranquillity Her faith an oriental amethyst, the nascent murmurings of the Northern Lights And with a hint of a flash of Ceylon sapphire Bursts forth her eternal love for woodlands and the amphitheatre Of ravishing dress rehearsals staged by Mother Nature She often swims into children’s books as do I Where the thought-sparks and pot-bellied wizardry of great thinkers Are found sneaking between the blinds of the lines When Annette and I meet the concept of the telescope Dies from extinction, the unaided eye sees her does it not?
