About The Artwork

Cameo of an Australian Icon, Barry Stern now 84 years old, opened one of Sydney's first Art gallery in 1961 in Paddington. It is the oldest gallery in Sydney. Specialising in Australian art by leading and emerging artists. Barry discovered many famous Australian artists. The same artists today sell their works for hundred's of thousand of dollars at Auction. . I have known Barry for over 30 years. On this photoshoot I spent a good 2 hours with him in his appt with all his treasures and his friend around him. It is on the 29tth floor with magnificent views of the river front and panoramic, It was fascinating to be in his presence as usual when I see him every time I am in Bangkok. He can be a handful but again an't we all sometimes. More photos to follow . Some of the images taken in his appt will be exhibited at my next exhibition at the Alliance Francaise in Sydney Clarence street , starting on the 7th of april 2017 See : https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Barry_Stern_(art_dealer)
