This work was inspired by the grand masters mixed with contemporary artists like Loretta Lux and Oleg Dou. A little of both. As an artist I am always trying to see what I can do rather than showing what I can do. Im always learning and trying and learning and thats the way I like it. I couldn't keep creating the same work time after time without the challenge of stretching myself. This image I wanted to make ethereal and soft and feminine and I was especially interested in making the skin as white as I could without losing the softness of the image. I hope the viewer enjoys the softness of this image and the beauty of the woman and that whoever buys her gets to hang her on their wall and wonder just who is Beira and what was she thinking. And if you are also wondering who Beira is you might like to know this..... She was the mother to all the gods and goddesses in the Celtic mythology of Scotland
