About The Artwork
I feel colour and I sense light. In my work I want to free images from their form and enhance their essence, which is for me, their colour and light. Although a camera is my tool I do not use any further technology to create my images. I very rarely minimally lighten and sharpen my images in the computer. I need to keep them as they were when I created them. We are bombarded with impressions in our day to day. There are so many facets to our images of the world around us and in my work I want to highlight just one of the many. My work is recognizable because of my technique, it is the subject matter, colour and play of light that is different every time I create. This is a horizontal- format, signed and numbered Limited Edition of 7, digital print on handmade photographic paper mounted on to aludibond. The work is ready to hang. Finish options: 1. Digital print on hand-made photographic paper mounted on to aludibond 2. Dye sublimation semi matte print on aluminium. I am a photographic artist specializing in impressionistic images of landscapes, people, nature, objects and cityscapes. An important fact is that none of my images are computer manipulated. My specific style is the result of a unique, photographic technique, which I developed, which allows me to "paint" with my camera on-site. My images are a direct result of the impressions I had at the time. I try to capture the infinite variations of our everyday reality, releasing colour from its form and creating a colour-dominated impressionistic world. Very occasionally I minimally enhance the definition and colour intensity of the image, post-shoot. All of my work is available signed, dated and numbered in Limited Editions and in three sizes, printed on the highest quality hand-made paper.
