Confucius Photograph - Limited Edition of 1

If someone asked me five years ago the question "Do you use photoshop?" the answer would be no. I only used it to clean dust dirt and scratches from a previous image. But this photograph was done in two stages through the use of photoshop. While in rehabilitation for two surgeries, I was doing my exercises on a flying field. The outdoor table I was holding on to had this amazing look to it. I took a photograph of the table one stop overexposed, one stop underexposed, and then put it in my desktop under a folder called future multiples. One Sunday in Manhattan at Grand Central Station, a gentleman passed me and I was thoroughly taken not only by him, but also his clothing. He was of Chinese descent with a very heavy London accent. The combination of the clothes, his jewelry, and his heavy robe was enough for me. I made several photos of him. At about two o'clock in the morning, I downloaded the card, took one look at the photo, and decided to blend the one from column A and the one from column B. I don't usually title my work, but my partner Joanne titled it Confucius. Yes, I now use photoshop as a tool. I try to keep it to a minimum.
