Elizabeth was part of dinner at a friends when she decided to dress up in her Mother's clothing and join us. We brought her into the studio with the same outfit and proceeded to subsequently photograph her every 5 years. Same clothes, same backdrop and documented her growth from 1988-2013. Though we are offering this image on fine art paper, stretched , archival and coated canvas is an option. The surface is quite beautiful and avoids framing costs. If interested, we can explore this possibility. Signed, dated with an edition of 15 and two artist proofs. Prints are totally archival and dimensions represent image size. I've never quite lost my Graphic Design background and seems to manifest itself in my work. I am attracted to the crisp and clean and strive to eliminate any unnecessary information, intentionally distilling my work down to fairly basic elements. I am also a large fan of formal composition and compelled to keep a certain visual harmony within the frame.In a sense I work in abstractions, condensing a fairly complex world into small, digestible portions. I gravitate toward what might be described as a visual economy and in the end, I am most content when a viewer is left with few distractions and little doubt about what they are looking at.
