praise of imperfection In this era of easy and precise repeatability in technical achievement in photography I find strong motivation in having taken the time to search for uniqueness and evocative potential, as well as in form and content, considering a precious value the imperfection. My intent in visual search is not to produce beautiful images, confined within their perimeter, but create evocative doors that someone can open to a reflection and to otherwise possible processing time lived… in a continuous review of the past to imagine the future . Francesco Mangiaracina live in Trapani, Italy. First photographic experiences in 1973 by experimenting his own development techniques and b/w creative printing. 1984 starts experimenting with mixed media photo/painting techniques. 1997 starts working on advertising, art and architectural photography such as important restoration interventions on the Italian heritage.
