About The Artwork

I made this photograph while walking alone through the Vietnam Veterans Memorial in Washington, DC in the fall of 2023. The names on the wall are intentionally blurred just enough to render them difficult to decipher, which to me symbolizes our fading collective memory of this terrible war and the fleeting nature of life. This 20 x 30 inch print is made on Hahnemuhle bamboo fine art paper, mounted on foam core for stability, signed, dated, and numbered in verso. Exhibitions and Awards for this photograph: Rowayton Arts Center, Rowayton, CT 2024 Spring All Media Juried Show, juried by Roseline Michael Neveling. April, 2024 Carriage Barn Arts Center, New Canaan, CT 44th Annual Photography Show, juried by Marina Chao, the Center for Photography at Woodstock – Honorable Mention. February, 2024
