During the 1990's I traveled often to the Mexican and Central American states to document the preHispanic sites, Christian churches, nature and people. The Market place at Chichicastenango was one of the most fascinating sites I observed. I went often and found that through the years, the merchants sold their fruit and vegetables from the same place each time. I felt as though I knew them. The color and dress is beautiful and expressive of a long time tradition.
