About The Artwork

29.07.23 A series of unfortunate events led to his death on July 25th. The accident was the first of these events. He was 82 years old and I was only acquainted with him as he was the father of my husband's sister's husband. It is very sad that we were some of the last people to see him alive. He had a vitality that surpassed that of many young people. Everyone was certain he would recover. During the funeral, I attempted to capture his essence by listening closely to the memories shared by his loved ones and comparing them to my own. He was an adult with a childlike soul, believing in miracles and hoping for the best. He was carefree and naive about the world around him, carrying these traits throughout his life. Like a true child, he knew how to live in the moment, which is incredibly valuable. Others learn this consciously over many years, but he always chose happiness. **From my series “Introduction to death”:** Epigraph. When my grandfather died, grandmother told me, "It's not dying that's scary, it's not knowing how those who are alive are doing.
