Red Electric Clouds - Limited Edition of 10 Photograph

"Red Electric Clouds" This is the most colorful piece from my "Electric Vital" series. This collection was created in 2018 with common foliage and florals regularly seen within city limits of New York City. Constant energy is radiating from all points interlaced with an array of human interactions within a concrete centered environment. An often overlooked piece landscape is put into clear focus and is incited to instill a curiosity and solace to the viewer. Perception is magnified to the subtle organic movements of ebb and flow; a contextual breeze within the still frame. Electric Vital series was created utilizing traditional in-camera techniques with a large format digital camera. I’m driven by a curiosity to explore light and perception. The morning glisten after a rainy night, the glow emanating from my children's eyes; everything I see is from one perspective, my perspective. I am a first generation Cuban American. Growing up with my family gave me a unique start with specific thoughts on culture, society, and point of view. Art has always been a big part of my life and has always inspired me through difficult times. I find solace in creating and living. A curiosity of surroundings and existence has always sparked the direction. Placing myself at the heart of life’s experience has always been the most rewarding; from traveling to where few have gone, to running marathons, to the homebirths of my children. Our world has a lot of experience to offer us. I always try to stay open to the challenges that will expand my knowledge and training. Starting out with oil painting at a young age, then exploring many mediums in college, I have found the camera to be my primary love for the past 15 years. I shoot most still-life projects with a digital 4x5. Scientific studies, discoveries, and technological advancements usually fill my thoughts. I find meaning in my life through elements of experience, emotion, and development. I love to expand on reflections, refractions, patterns and energy; the pieces of physical life that organize our ever-changing existence. This is a highly detailed Giclee print, shot with a medium format digital back on a 4x5 camera. Hand signed and editioned by Gisel Florez. Each print is also delivered with a signed hologram Hahnemühle Certificate of Authenticity. Each certificate is made of premium deckle edged mould made paper with a Hahnemühle watermark and fluorescent security fibres.
