RR is rest and recreation. They were about 40.000 American stationned in Thailand during the Vietnam War and about 2000 worked for the intelligence the Jusmag just around the corner If only the walls could talk,,,,,They would reveal many secrets, such as GI's, sex , spying , intrigues, Easy go bar , prostitution, booze, Vietcong and Rock n roll. R & R was also called by the soldiers as I&I or Intercourse and Intoxication. The complex is still standing today and is very run down and basic, the staircase has a film noir feel.
