SPRING IN KENSINGTON 2 - I was convinced my first long dark winter in London would never end. The Brisbane girl inside me was beginning to panic and then the first blossoms of spring began to appear. These blossoms were shot on a walk through the back streets and mews of Kensington. Only a street away from the hustle and bustle of London’s main business precincts and thoroughfares, one can find peace and quiet in the quaintest of settings. FLORASCOPIC SERIES 1 - Kirsten Bresciani, combines her love for flowers, plants, travel, and architecture to create kaleidoscopic images captured in urban environments. Influenced by her childhood fascination with kaleidoscopes and her experiences exploring cities like San Francisco, New York, and London, her work reflects the importance of nature in modern cities. Through her project "Florascopic," she captures the beauty of urban flora, emphasizing how plants and flowers bring balance and beauty to urban landscapes, mirroring the randomness and symmetry found in nature and kaleidoscopes.
