In black and white, the eyes of a terrestrial astronaut rest on landscapes full of lights and black holes of the universe, coming from a journey in space and landed again on planet Earth, in an unrecognizable territory. Are we bewildered astronauts, unable to try to draw from our memory and then surrender to the vision of nature that forges itself and lives alone? Compelling and seductive places apparently uninhabited, which resound with the tides and the drift of woods and branches. This series of artworks is about a world that asks to be more studied, rediscovered. Thanks to this photo I was finalist at Siena International Photography Awards 2019. ___ Digital photography. Limited edition of 10. Printed on demand and inspected, signed and hand-numbered by me. The photo will be printed on Hahnemühle FineArt Pearl 285gsm and accompanied by a certificate of authenticity, exclusively by a laboratory that achieved Hahnemühle Certification.

Cristina Gualmini was born in Bologna, Italy. She started studying photography in 1990, thanks to her great passion for visual art. She attended many specialization courses (portrait, fashion, nude, wedding, development and printing in B/W) in Bologna, Milan and Brescia. Between 1993 and 1995 she gained professional experiences working as an assistant. Afterwards, she managed the photography studio “Mascarella” in Bologna.
