2 C-prints mounted on onealu-dibond, framed, no glass, 2017 The work The Landlord's Game (Athens edition) displays the 28 cards of the Greek version of the Monopoly board game. Unlike the German version, the streets and squares refer directly to the city of Athens, including locations like the Acropolis, Ermou Street, Omonia Square or Mesogeion Street. The cards are from a version from the 1980’s, showing signs of use that suggest their age. Due to the constant fluctuation of the real estate market, the value of the cards has shifted. The pictures are presented in a freestanding cart. This offers the opportunity to leaf through the frames and browse the real estate market of Athens. The frames are open on the back, revealing a second image. One can see the back of each card, which includes the option of taking up a mortgage.
