Time Passing Photograph - Limited Edition of 20

This night-time sky image of long star trails above a cypress pine, was shot through the night, on the coastline of Northern California. I envision this to be the perfect image for a bedroom, inspiring dreams and promising restful sleep! (Or, perhaps the waiting room area, in a doctor's office). From my "NiGHT LiGHT" series, of Nocturnal landscapes: What is seen in the moment transforms over time, with long exposures. The results take one to a different world. Elements become more visible, star trails emerge and the scene evolves into something unique and magical. I create atmospheric images that fluidly move from the literal to the metaphorical. I always strive to go beyond simply reveling in what's before me. (This photograph was shot onto 2 1/4" film, using a vintage medium-format camera, exposed overnight, for hours). Print sizes of this image are available 6” to 36". ($500.-$3,000, respectively).
