About The Artwork

Tracy James Burton created Untitled 05#11 as part of an ongoing exploration of abstract photography. This photograph was conceived from a single moment in nature and then abstracted through assorted scientific tools and digital manipulations. The photograph explores how we consume nature through manipulated perspectives. Untitled 05#11 is part of his Untitled 05 series, a collection of 24 photographs within the even larger Untitled Series of photographs. Untitled 05#11 is limited to ten photographs that are printed on archival 13x19” matte paper, signed, and numbered by the artist. There is a white border for matting, framing or mounting purposes. A variety of unsigned open edition prints are available from Saatchi Art. All open editions are delivered directly from Saatchi Art.

British/American painter & photographer born in 1972. He lives, studies and works in New York City and is currently pursuing a certificate at the International Center of Photography (ICP) in Manhattan. "People" is a personal series of paintings cultivated from fears, insecurities and passions. Life dances with death. Peace struggles with violence. Humanity wrestles with equality. And reason struggles with the afterlife. The paintings are tumultuous, chaotic, and filled with diverging aggressiveness. Nonetheless, these works achieve peace and harmony by balancing disorder, spontaneity and an intrinsic sense of control, color, line and shape. The subjects have an implied physicality without being bound by natural limitations. Artistic expression rises from the painted surface without a clear representation of reality. The paintings demand open and free analysis by the viewer and cause each person to pause and contemplate their own fears, insecurities and passions.
