About The Artwork

'Untitled Cafe Series 2010' was taken as part of a series of traditional London cafes, in a collaboration with the art collective The Kahve Society. Olivia Hemingway spends time sitting, drinking tea and talking with the people she photographs. In this image, the elderly woman with bright pink nails had recently lost her husband. The work is printed on fine art Hahnemühle paper, window mounted in an off white card mount. It is part of a limited edition of 25, plus 2 AP. This piece is edition 1 / 25. It is signed on the back and comes with a certificate of authenticity. Two additional sizes are also available on request, also as limited editions. Olivia Hemingway's work has been published and exhibited internationally. She lives and works in London and West Yorkshire. Her work often has a strong narrative and focuses on people's lives in everyday surroundings. Hemingway’s portfolio includes Aardman Animations, BBC, Tate, National Portrait Gallery, The United Nations, Warner Bros, Flight of the Conchords, Massive Attack and Sir Quentin Blake. Exhibitions include The Imperial War Museum, The Spitz Gallery, The National Trust, The Huddersfield Art Gallery, Leeds City Museum and The Barbican.
