Impressions of India Print - Limited Edition of 15

Travelling around in India and especially in Rajasthan you soon realise that colour is an integral part of the society and landscape there. Many of the towns are known for the colours of their homes and buildings and this sparked my imagination as colour is one of the top reasons why I want to make art. This linocut print was made some years ago, but often is the case that my attention wanders and I leave editions unfinished, but I always had it in mind to return to it and this is the new fresh off the press version of “Impressions of India” coloured in warm hues of burnt orange and very pale pink with hints of deep turquoise. The print is created using the multi-block method. It is a limited edition of fifteen, and there are only 3 in this colour way. Please be aware that each one is slightly different due to the placement of the trees and some tonal differences.
