Celebrating the beautiful colors of a sunny day in autumn, the print references golden grasses, red willows, and the sustained greenery of coniferous trees. Nature is my primary muse inspiring creation through its brilliant palette of color, shades, and tints. The work is best categorized as formalist abstraction expressing the mood and motion of color and light which are, in essence, the subject of the piece. Incorporating visual texture as well as the physical texture of the substrate gives this print added detail and debth. This limited series print is an original artwork incorporating many layers of visual information digitally collaged in a final selection of imagery. Every step including the printing is a hands-on studio production. All materials are archival endowing the print with a life-span of extended generations under prescribed conditions such as avoiding direct sunlight when displayed on the wall. New, contemporary processes make it possible to produce digital paintings such as this one avoiding the toxicity of traditional printmaking processes. This print has a vibrancy that will provide a brilliant focus in any room offering a legacy of enjoyment.
