About The Artwork
Bow and Arrow Series are in the collection of Albright-Knox. Originally owned by Seymour Knox II. This piece includes a protractor as measurement device. Old wood from Buffalo, NewYork construction has been reused and combined with new materials, being acrylic plastic. the elegant arc of transparent flexible material represents transition from old to new. Juxtaposed with old systems, new converted by constructivism into a decorative wall element. Beauty, elegance, flexibility are all part of this piece and of the Bow and Arrow series. Constructed 1985 at Essex Arts Center.
