About The Artwork
This fearless bird has all the feeling of beauty,protection and structure,made of laminated maple and birch veneer wood,each part is bent and twisted individually to match the form of the bird.brass screws and glue is used to assemble the sculpture.One coat of light wood stain, four coats of clear varnish and a small dash of acrylic paint is applied.I designed this bird for wall hanging.A wall bracket fixture using one screw is provided. The weight of the sculpture is 4 pounds.

After college i took a course in architectural draughtsmanship and have been working with architect here in Montreal.In my spar time i worked on my own woodworking projects such as home furniture.Handworking is my passion, may have inherited from my parents. Veneer wood a wonderful medium for sculpture, i use 1/16 of an inch thick maple and birch veneer for my art works and use wood stain and varnish for finishing.
