About The Artwork

Animal iconography: My father once told me a story of when he worked as a boilerman in a hospital he came across a dog that had found its way into the boiler room. He found out that the dogs owner had addmited himself to the hospital and had kept the dog in the car. The dog then got out and ran away and established its new home in the boiler room. The owner sadly passed away but the dog lived out its existing days within the boiler room looked after by staff

Born London, England. I like to think that the works captures a sense of subjective enchantment that mirrors the spectator more so than the artist The dog sculptures were part of an exhibition 'Chronicles of the dog, a provincial affair' I wanted to establish animal iconography in a quasi religious sense, and question our relationship to animals in an anthropomorphist form of pub surrealism My intention was to make it more appealing to everyone, rather than it being esoteric or nebulous.
