About The Artwork
Lifting off, opening up, being free is the intention of the sculpture, half angel, half dancer, the figure strives upwards, "per aspera ad astra". The sculpture is the 1st copy of an edition of sixteen, the bronze is signed with AK on the plinth, the edition number is milled into the underside. As each bronze is individually chased and patinated by hand, there are small differences in the colour tone of the patina and in the surface structure.
