About The Artwork

The Work Glu, glu belongs to the series of works “Where does the hunger of the world go” in which I investigate ways of producing textile constructions using a wide variety of textile procedures such as sewing, crochet, embroidery, bindings and knots to produce pieces in large two-dimensional or three-dimensional. In this series, I explore colors and textures of the fabrics that were clothes that belonged to women from Latin American countries who are immigrants residing in the United States. The migratory processes that cross the lives of women is a point of interest and is linked to the concept that gravitates in the orbit of all the pieces in this series: Where does world hunger go?

Shipping & Returns

Delivery Time:Typically 5-7 business days for domestic shipments, 10-14 business days for international shipments.

In my work, I explore textile materials and procedures to produce constructions, sensory and wearable objects that relate to space as a way to produce photographs, performances, videos and installations. I investigate the ritualistic dimension of handicrafts as a practice of reinvention, tensioning notions of identity and belonging, of fictionalized bodies to create fables about other natures and relationships between the feminine and the domestic. I am interested in using second-hand materials, things discarded and accumulated over time to speculate on the memory load of these materialities and as a strategy to interfere in the fate and permanence of things in the world.
