About The Artwork
My inspiration was add to the discussion of women seeking to write their own story about what it is to be a women in the 21 century. Women are aggressively seeking finical equality and respect. This sculpture is an icon to that spirit. One of the highest compliments to a woman is that she is a goddess. What I created is a whimsical expression of that idea. The sculpture rest away from the wall supported by a hand decorated box frame. My choice of materials and to make my subject a sculpture was that I wanted to create a presence of worship. An idol protruding from the wall, well light this sculpture is dynamic.
