One of my earliest sculpture compositions, 'Leaning Torso' was an exercise in building a clay sculpture using the slab method. I and several other sculptors shared a live model for inspiration and reference. The original terra-cotta piece sold almost immediately, then I made a press mold of it for a small edition in terra-cotta with painted patina. The piece you see here is the last one cast. There is a small chip at the base of one leg [see photo included] and thus she sells for a low price. The ceramic sculpture is hollow and while not a vase, at least one person exhibited with dried flowers put into the shoulder cavity. She ships from Austin, Texas, USA.

I am interested in why we do what we do and how thoughts progress. Since I was a child, I watched and touched and listened, trying to make sense of things. It was easy to feel the sadness of life, but also the yin and yang. So, I work to put beauty in front of us. I have been told that my work is “all over the map” but in my mind, everything is connected. I hope you enjoy your visit and will be enticed to go to my Web site for more work and writings. Thank you.
