Masked weaver under nest Sculpture - Limited Edition of 15

I was filming a masked weaver making a nest, and when I looked it up, I realised how hard this little fellow works. He has maybe three wives in a season and makes at least four nests per 'wife', because she rejects the first few he makes. I had to pay tribute to his relentless endeavour. It is also such a beautiful bird, the male being yellow with a black mask and red eyes. While I was filming a Boomslang (snake) raided the nest, and all his hard work came to nothing, as all the chicks were eaten. Such is the circle of life! This nest hangs from a bronze branch that can be installed off the top of a wall, or even installed within a tree, so it hangs into a garden.
