About The Artwork
Neon and electronics on Formica and wood. The speed of the animation can be controlled by a switch on the back. This piece was inspired by urban crosswalk signs, and the Nicolas Roeg film "Walkabout". In Australian Aboriginal society, “walkabout” refers to a period of wandering in the wilderness, a spiritual journey or rite of passage. In 21st century America, we inhabit a different sort of wilderness, a world of images and symbols that we are continually creating and infusing with meaning.

He has also created digital effects for over a dozen feature films, including The Polar Express, Spider-Man 3, and the first Harry Potter movie. He lives and works in Los Angeles.
