About The Artwork
Ruth Bader Ginsburg was the subject of my second sculpture in my Iconic Women Series because she was an inspiring role model for women and girls around the world. I hope viewers of this sculpture will be able to appreciate the face of a person with an immense legal mind who spent her life fighting for women's rights. I chose the medium of clay because it is easy to mould peoples features and make corrections if necessary.

Shaun Murphy was born in Bedford, England and was raised in Great Gaddesden in Hertfordshire. He studied oil painting with Artist, Charles Garbett and sculpture with Sculptor, John Mills who was his lecturer at St Albans College of Art in England. He is now a sculptor in Frankfort, Kentucky USA and works in clay fired with glaze. He enjoys sculpting heads and has completed a unique sculpture collection of all the US Presidents. He is now sculpting a collection of Iconic Women.
